Before there were many skins for the Apple iPod classic 80 GB Silver (6th Generation) (January of 2008, even), I needed to keep the back from getting all scratched up from my pockets, so I thought i'd give these a try. Other than in the corners, which are now rounded, where the Apple 30 GB iPod AAC/MP3 Video Player Black (5.5 Generation) has more pointed corners, the fit is absolutely perfect.
I had tried a similar skin for the Apple 80 GB iPod AAC/MP3 Video Player Black (5.5 Generation) but it was looser and had a thin latex cover over the scroll wheel, which made it almost impossible to use the scroll wheel. This one though is more snug and doesn't have that scroll wheel cover.
